For a tour of  RAF Aberporth,  a history of  the Guided Weapon Trials Units, and the personnel involved from 1940 when it opened, to 1984 when it closed.

The site will mainly be of interest to ex-Royal Air Force, Royal Navy,  and Royal Aircraft Establishment Technicians who worked on the  Missile systems tested at Aberporth during the 1960’s and 70’s,  and  Royal Air Force personnel who worked on the Bloodhound Mk2  Missile Squadrons around the world.  However, technical detail is kept to a minimum for other curious visitors. The site is still under construction.
